It has been ages since I posted anything to deviantART but that doesn't mean I have stopped doing what I love. I'm hoping in the new year I can continue to post my work here, whether it is photography or otherwise.
News? I'm full of it. I recently (OK, 8 months ago) left a 13 year relationship and moved across the country. Not that anyone here cares, we're all pretty self absorbed it seems! It was a really hard thing to do, but I know I'm better off. We just didn't see eye to eye on our wants and needs, which is something that is crucial in every relationship!
So I'm starting fresh, and while I have my sad days I just keep moving forward. That's what we all have to do!

Hoping to be able to get premium again here on DeviantART, but alas my funds are just not being kind at the moment so it will have to wait! I hope everyone had an awesome weekend. I loved being able to look outside and watch all of the air balloons float by!

I'm feeling disheartened but I'm not really sure why. I suppose all artists go through those phases in their life where they don't feel that they're any good at what they do. If you're trying to make money from your talent it seems like only the exceptional get noticed, and for those like me who are not one of the exceptional.. well. It's even harder.

Years Go By

Alright so it has been almost four years since I posted anything to my deviantART account - but - once more I would like to get back into the habit. We'll see how that goes.
What's new? I published my first book a few weeks back. It's poetry, which I know not everyone is a fan of but I'm quite happy with it. People can pick it up on amazon, both physical copies or ebook versions. I'm also giving away a signed copy on GoodReads, just look for Quiet Introspection.
In the meantime I've been doing a lot of photography and have fallen behind in my 3D renders which is the true reason of my return here to DeviantART. I would like to get back into them, and I have a brand new pen tablet that I want to make some use of.
Lets see how this goes!

Christmas once again

I hope Santa was good to everyone this year! I don't often write, but hopefully I'll get around to doing more in the new year. We'll just have to see.
One of my gifts this year was a brand new 300mm zoom lens for my Olympus E-410, so I'm going to be playing around with that a lot, and I expect I'll be posting a lot of it here on DeviantART. If you're not into photography, well. Why not?!
I'm still learning, it's a slow process but one I enjoy a huge amount.
I hope everyone is keeping safe and enjoying their holidays!
